It’s that time of the year again, and there’s always a lot to consider when going back to school. One thing to make the beginning of the year go smoothly is SEED’s handy one-page explainer on your child — or a student profile. It’s a great way to let your student’s teacher know all about their wonderful strengths and potential challenges.
Below is a sample student profile, full of inspiration on what kind of information may be most helpful to a new teacher. You can download it as a PDF here: Sample Back to School Sample Student Profile
There are several ways to present this information:
— A GoogleDoc or Word document. Click here for a fillable form.
— Get creative by making a one-page website using Adobe Spark (Spark websites are free and super simple!).

— Or a simple email will always suffice.
Lastly, if you aren’t familiar with DREDF, the Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund, definitely check them out. Specifically though, they sent out an excellent email with lots of things to consider when starting a new school year. Click here to check out that email.
Cheers to a successful school year!
