Special Announcements

In 2016, your generous financial support helped SEED:

  • fund teacher and staff development for the Lafayette School District
  • offer 4 free parent education events
  • host a free Fall Picnic and BBQ at Sienna Ranch for families with children with special needs
  • donate books to Lafayette school libraries that portray story lines featuring main characters with special needs. 
  • send 3 Lafayette School District special education employees to a specialized course, "Adapting Units of Study for Special Education/IEP Institute at Teachers College, Columbia University 

We can't do it without you. Below are two upcoming opportunities to help SEED raise the funds to continue its mission of supporting children (and their families) with special and diverse learning needs. We hope you can join us at one or both events. 

SEED's Holiday Pay-to-Play Party is Friday, December 9, 2016, 6:30 PM-9:00 PM. Click here to register. 

Come sip wine, nibble on delicious appetizers while sampling Amphora's goodies.

SEED's first ever Comedy Night event! Click here to purchase tickets.

Regina Stoops is headlining and Sammy Obeid is opening. 

The evening will also feature two raffles, each one with an amazing prize!

Who We Are and What We Do

SEED provides a wide range of support and resources to families of children with special and diverse learning needs, as well as training programs for educators who work with these children.  The programs we fund include recess facilitation, after school social skills play groups, educational seminars, support groups and socials for parents and teacher training.

SEED is grateful to all the individuals, corporations, foundations and trusts who make charitable contributions that make these important programs possible.

SEED was founded in 2006, became a legal entity in 2008 and received non-profit status in January 2010.
